Personal style - 15 years worth of shit.

One of the biggest compliment I have received is that I have a good eye for things. While this is true, the thing is i’ve made many mistakes.

Horrible purchases.

Ugly decor and overpriced crap that i sooner have dumped in a skip as I was sick of looking at it.

But more importantly I have taken the time to realise that my style is ever evolving (and thank goodness)

If i could describe my first apartment it would have consisted of overpriced brown furniture,  no art work and a few ugly accessories purchased at big box stored.   I can confidently say that nothing that existed in my home 15 years ago is with me today.

Does that make me wasteful?  probably,  but not when you consider that I've moved 11 times including a divorce where I walked away with just a bed and a few clothes.

Ive been through phases,  Contemporary,   Art Deco,   Vintage,  Industrial,  Antique and eclectic.

Eclectic is where i have ended up.   But what does eclectic mean to me?

An eclectic interior to me is an interior that is filled with beautiful items.   Items handmade,  made of natural materials,  beautiful construction, great design.   There is cohesion in balancing the contrast,   displaying collections and making the simple and rustic work.

Anyway, getting a little off track.  This is becoming a bit or a ramble.

I need to get rid of shit,  because I need to stop being delusional.

Hoarding isn't being eclectic.   Hoarding is hoarding.

Time to Marie Kondo this shit.
